Extended Kalahari – 3 June 2018

Landscape Tour leader, Tjomps Rautenbach took 7 of our clients on an extended 13 day tour to the Kalahari in June.He managed to capture some great pictures of the various wildlife that they encountered. Thanks for sharing, Tjomps!

Thanks for the letter. We really had a most fantastic trip – much better than the previous one to Kalahari two years ago. Tjomps was great – as usual. He really is a super cook and guide who was always alert to everyone’s needs, but the trip was made really special by having fewer folks en board, giving us all room for our cameras, binoculars, etc. not to mention everyone having a window seat. We all felt that these things are a vital part of any wildlife trip. Well done to yourselves and Dinkie for setting this up. LOVED IT THANKS.

Hi there
Thanks for the gorgeous photos – we have added them to our collection from the holiday.
We had a marvelous time with Tjomps.  Nothing was too much trouble, he was totally organised and friendly with everybody.  The accommodation was great in all aspects, together with the picnic stops and organised lunches at various establishments.  Tjomps cooking was excellent and varied. We would not have seen 10% of the animals or birds had we been on our own. He was so attuned to nature and so utterly committed. He worked extremely hard to ensure that he made the  holiday in the Kgalagadi very special and memorable.
Thanks to all the Landscape staff who put so much effort into the background organisation of the tour.
Many thanks
Best regards
Ann and Rod Buttle

Dear Grant,
It was a pleasure to have the chance to join that recent trip to the Kalahari with Tjomps. It was super. Lovely weather, good company and an excellent guide – what more could you want. Tjomps really goes out of his way to make sure everyone is okay and enjoying themselves. But he is far too good a cook – time for plenty of exercise now to work it off !
I had been on the 10 trip but this longer one was far better with time at both Mata Mata and Nossub.   More opportunities to see game and more time to relax and enjoy the bush.   I hope you try it again.
