- About Us
The Telegraph recently named South Africa’s spring flowers of Namaqualand as one of the 20 greatest destinations on Earth for flowers, alongside other spectacular sites like Italy’s Amalfi Coast – famous for its bright-coloured bougainvillaeas – and Holland and Belgium’s stunning tulip fields.
4-Day Tours – Namaqualand
Once again we offer our ever-popular 4-day flower tours to the real Flowers of Namaqualand – the Kamieskroon and Springbok areas far from the ’easier-to-reach’ areas nearer Cape Town. Here are the classic displays of worldwide fame. We base ourselves at the Kamieskroon Hotel in Kamieskroon, central to the most diverse and splendid flowering areas. From here we go on flower expeditions with our guide, accompanied on one full day by a local specialist guide. Landscape Tours also has the special privilege to visit private farms, off the popular tourist routes, where the flower displays are often spectacular. We tour the dramatic landscape with its huge rocks, succulents, and mineral wealth, opening our eyes to the fact that Namaqualand is not only a venue for the transient flower display, but a permanent amphitheatre of semi-desert grandeur.

6-Day Tours – Namaqualand and West Coast
These longer tours include the core Namaqualand areas of the Kamieskroon portion described above, and an additional 2 nights and days in the Nieuwoudtville and West Coast areas. This gives more opportunity for good flower displays and a wider range of flower species, plus extra delightful and varied scenery.

How active? General: Suitable for everyone (subject to the minimum physical requirements in our tour conditions). On the tour you can be more active or less active as you prefer. Everyone can enjoy the full itinerary, and there are numerous places on the tour where the more active can see and do more – for example when we stop at beauty spots and points of interest, at meal and tea stops, and in free time.
