- About Us
Here’s an opportunity for you to explore many of South Africa’s exciting game and scenic destinations without leaving the southern Cape. We visit four national parks – each one unique and offering great game-watching opportunities and marvelous scenery.
Our first stop is Karoo National Park, home to a fascinating diversity of life, all adapted to survive in its harsh conditions. It’s a refuge for many endemic species such as springbok, red hartebeest, oryx and Cape mountain zebra. Lion and black rhino have been reintroduced.
Next we visit Mountain Zebra National Park, specifically proclaimed for the Cape mountain zebra, once nearly extinct. Other species such as black wildebeest, blesbok, eland and oryx dot the plains, and cheetah, buffalo and black rhino have been trans-located here.
We move on to Addo Elephant National Park, staying in their delightful chalets. We’ll take exciting game drives to find the elephant herds for which Addo is world-famous, and keep an eye out for lion, black rhino, buffalo and leopard. In free time, like evenings. you can watch the animals come to the waterhole near the chalets. This park was established to save the Eastern Cape elephants from extinction by hunting and poaching. From a low point of only 11 survivors numbers are over 500 today.
Leaving Addo we head along the Garden Route to the delightful Storms River Mouth rest camp, right next to the crashing surf of the Indian Ocean. We return to Cape Town via the Garden Route on the scenic N2 highway.
