The Okavango Delta Special (5 Days)

This is a very special opportunity. The Okavango Delta is one of the most desirable nature areas on earth, but it's also one of the most expensive. Botswana's conservation policies call for minimal numbers of visitors to lodge concessions in the most pristine areas of the Delta. This is great for conservation, and wonderful for those who do visit, but of course leads to extremely high prices. However in this case we have been able to secure a very special price for our South African resident customers at one of the top lodges in the Delta, for a strictly limited period only.
You will fly in a small group with your Landscape tour-leader by Air Botswana from JHB to Maun on the edge of the Delta. From there we are chartering a plane for a scenic flight over the waters to the Moremi Game Reserve, in the heart of the Delta, and land at Xakanaxa Camp. Xakanaxa is privately owned – a classic top-class bush camp in the old tradition. It's in a beautiful position - near a perennial river and a lagoon (from which the camp is named) and is also in the Moremi Game Reserve itself. This combination makes it one of the finest game-areas in the world. We go on game-viewing cruises by boat or makoro (canoe), and also game-drives by 4x4 vehicles. We stay in Meru-style luxury tents on wooden platforms, with verandas overlooking the lagoon - the perfect place to just sit and watch. This is what 'special' really means!
