A Week in the African Bush (7Days)
We asked ourselves: “What is the ideal way
for our customers to fully experience the African bush, in
comfort and at reasonable cost?” It had to be
completely authentic, not 'touristy'. It had to be comfortable -
no camping or compulsory bundu bashing! It had to include some
of the best game-viewing
potential possible on the planet. And it had to embrace 'the
African bush' experience in full - not simply 'the Big 5' but
also the small animals, the trees,
plants and insects, the beauty of the landscape, the
companionship, time to dream, and so on. This 7-day tour is the
result. It combines world-class game
viewing; a chance to learn from top-class rangers and guides
about all aspects of the bush; and - time to relax.
We fly in style from CPT or JHB straight into and out of the
Lowveld (so no changing planes at JHB airport!). The exact
itinerary may vary from tour to
tour (discuss details with us) but is always a blend of two
different ways of experiencing the bush. On the first part of
the tour you will be travelling
comfortably by minibus with your Landscape guide through the
southern Kruger Park, game-spotting, enjoying the magnificent
scenery, and staying in
camps such as Lower Sabi and Pretoriuskop. The second part will
be in private game reserves in the Sabi Sand area, such as
Inyati and Idube lodges.
The Sabi Sand area is unfenced on the Kruger Park boundary. The
private lodges offer a true bush experience with chalet
accommodation and delicious
open-air meals. We do a lot of open vehicle game viewing, and
are able to follow the 'the Big 5' through the bush, offering
superb viewing opportunities.
