In spite of there being few flowers to see, I have had a wonderful time. Neville was a superb guide and driver, very efficient and good company. All strangers to begin with and good friends at the end lots of laughter.! Thank you for such a well organised trip. I hope to travel with you again soon. Please keep in touch .
Thank you so much for a wonderful experience! We accept that due to the drought the flowers were not as spectacular as we would have liked it to be, but it was still worthwhile.
The other surprises Pieter had up his sleeve was a wonderful experience. Being a forester and nature conservationist, I thoroughly enjoyed it. Attached is a photo of Quiver tree seeds germinating. I collected these at one of our stops in the Kamiesberge on the way to Leliefontein. (Unfortunately I do not remember the site’s name, but Pieter will recall it as I mentioned it to him.) Hopefully I can contribute to the conservation of these beautiful trees. Please forward to him as I do not have his contact details.
Thank you once again for an unforgettable experience due to Pieter being an excellent guide
Good morning, Tessa
We just wanted to say that we thoroughly enjoyed our trip to see the flowers – even though there weren’t many! But Pieter managed to track down quite a lot on our second day and was very knowledgeable about the climate and the geology. All in all a very enjoyable trip with lovely people.
Do give Pieter a special ‘Thank you’ from us, we look forward to seeing his photos.

Many thanks to all the team. The trip to Namaqualand (12 – 15 September) was brilliant. You thought of everything..right down to the welcome packet of sweets! Pieter was a wonderful guide and looked after us all tremendously well. He even tracked down a field of flowers…and we all understood that, as it was the lowest rainfall for 100 years, we were fortunate to see it. He taught us how to stand and look…and we saw so many individual plants..each with cunning ways of survival and seed dispersal.
The picnics were delicious and the regularly spaced loo opportunities much appreciated. It was very nice that all the meals, tips etc were included and the picking up and dropping off arrangements worked very well.
If I ever visit South Africa again I will certainly include another Landscape Tour
All good wishes and thanks again
To everyone at Landscape tours.
Good morning, Albeit a bit late Mrs Krull and I would like to tell you how much we enjoyed our trip to Kammieskroon and surroundings. The accommodation was very comfortable, the meals were tasty and we especially enjoyed the lunchtime picnics. Mrs Krull was delighted with the trouble that was taken by the staff to cater to her gluten free requirements.
Our guide Peter Badenhorst was just amazing. Kind, thoughtful, patient, resourceful. The list goes on. Again thank you all for a most enjoyable well planned holiday.
Yours most appreciatively,
